This Kansas City commercial renovation transformed a dated, cubicle-filled office into a modern, collaborative workspace that reflects the tech company's culture and attracts talent. The Client's Goal

The growing tech company needed to modernize their 3,000 sq ft office to support hybrid work, attract new employees, and impress clients. They wanted an open floor plan with private meeting spaces, a welcoming reception, a comfortable break area, and integrated AV technology throughout.

The Challenge

The existing office had high cubicle walls, fluorescent tube lighting, worn carpet, and a closed-off feel that discouraged collaboration. The electrical and data infrastructure was outdated, and the HVAC system could not support the new open layout without rebalancing.

Our Solution

We demolished all cubicles and opened the floor plan with distinct zones for workstations, collaboration areas, and private meetings. Two glass-walled conference rooms with integrated AV and writable walls were built. A new break area with a kitchenette, bar seating, and lounge furniture became a social hub. The reception was redesigned with a feature wall, modern desk, and brand-aligned lighting. We upgraded the electrical for standing desks and monitors, installed a new data network, and rebalanced the HVAC for the open layout.
